Stewardship Award

Each year a Stewardship Award is presented to an individual or group that contributes in a positive environmental way to the Tohono O'odham Nation. This year Fred Orosco received the 2013 Stewardship Award for his outstanding positive achievement and dedicated service to the Environmental Protection Office and Solid Waste Regulatory Office programs.

In 2012, Priscilla Ramon received this award for her outstanding positive achievement. Priscilla Ramon, the 2012 Stewardship Award Winner, is a resident of Topawa, Az; Mrs. Ramon has dedicated herself to her community by serving on the Baboquivari District Council and as a member of the Tohono O'odham Nation Solid Waste Management Committee. Priscilla has been an advocate on a clean environment for the Nation and for her community. She was presented the Stewardship Award on May 24, 2012.

In 2011 the Tas Tonalik Ki Program won the Stewardship award. The Program donates plants and trees each year for the Earth Day event. Thanks!
