EPA's Tribal General Assistance Program
Program Background: The GAP was created to assist federally recognized tribes and intertribal consortia to plan, develop, and establish the capacity to implement programs administered by the EPA and to assist in the development and implementation of solid and hazardous waste programs for Indian lands. In addition, the GAP was created to provide technical assistance from EPA to tribal governments and intertribal consortia in the development of multimedia programs to address environmental issues
