REGULATORY OFFICE

The Regulatory Component is to enforce,
monitor the production, collection,
transportation, and disposal of solid waste and
hazardous waste on the land of the Tohono
O’odham Nation. The Compliance Inspectors
can issue citation of violators of the Tohono
O’odham Nation Solid Waste Code.

 

To protect public health by identifying and addressing environmental concerns as it pertains to the Nation’s indoor & ambient air quality.

5A. PERMIT FEE:

This application must be accompanied by a $500.00 payment before qan application can be processed and a permit is issued.

Make checks or money orders payable to: Tohono O'odham Nation. Permits are valid for two years from date issue. Renewal of this permit is the responsibility of the Permittee. Permit renewal applications must be submitted 30 days prior to the Expiration of the current Permit expiration date. This Permit is non-transferable. New owners and operators must apply for a new Permit. Notice of changes of ownership, operators, facility operations, upgrades, and or intent to close, should be submitted to the Environmental Protection Office 30 days prior to the event.
